Lighter Drums = Greater Performance
We have something new for Mustang Cobras! Normally, a new stock cast iron brake drum would weigh 18.5 lbs. But J&G Brake Drum Relining has been able to lower that total weight down to 9.8 lbs! This is a big savings on UN-sprang weight, along with rotating weight and heat transfer - which is a big saving in performance for road racing, drag racing and street use.
We've also made custom brake shoes to match each new drum liner size. Additionally, we do cross cutting of brake shoes to keep the shoe material clean and cool, thereby improving stopping performance.
This is a product no one else has and will be a big performer for the mid-60's Mustangs!
